The SPEEDWAY SW6-5D is a 2-needle 5-thread true safety stitch direct drive overlock industrial sewing machine engineered for woven garment construction — denim, jeans, workwear, uniforms, trousers, heavy shirts, and any application where a single seam must both join two layers and overedge them simultaneously. Built around a fully integrated direct drive servo motor, the SW6-5D delivers a max sewing speed of 6,500 sti/min with smooth variable speed control.

Unlike 4-thread mock safety stitch overlocks (such as the SW6-4D), the SW6-5D produces a true safety stitch by combining a 2-thread chainstitch (ISO 401) with a 3-thread overlock (ISO 504) in a single pass — the chainstitch holds the seam together while the overlock simultaneously finishes the raw edge to the right of it. This produces a substantially stronger and more durable seam, which is why 5-thread safety stitch is the global industry standard for denim, jeans, and workwear assembly.

Equivalent in configuration to the Jack E4S-5 (regular 5-thread), the SW6-5D shares the same Speedway SW6 Direct Drive platform with the SW6-3D, SW6-3D-32R, SW6-4D and SW6-6D. The DC×27 (#11-#14) needle system handles medium-to-heavy woven fabrics with industrial-weight threads. Complete with industrial fully submerged table and stand.
