Frequently asked
Does it arrive assembled?
Yes — we assemble, calibrate and test-stitch it in Miami before shipping. To protect the machine during freight, the head ships detached from the table; remounting takes minutes and we can walk you through it by phone.
Can I finance it?
Yes. You can split your purchase into monthly payments with Affirm (checking your rate takes seconds and won't affect your credit score), and Synchrony offers special financing on qualifying purchases (subject to credit approval). See your options on the financing page.
Do you ship to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico?
Puerto Rico: yes. Freight is $150, and it's free on orders of $3,000 or more.
Alaska and Hawaii: parts and accessories ship there fine — USPS or UPS rates are calculated at checkout. But an industrial machine travels on a pallet by freight, and those two states can't be quoted automatically: get in touch before you order and we'll give you a firm price. +1 (954) 681-3894 or contact@suprasewing.com.
Warranty & support?
Yes — on top of the manufacturer's warranty, Supra Sewing backs your machine with our own coverage: 90 days on mechanical defects and 12 months on electrical & electronic parts (18 months on Speedway machines), serviced by our in-house techs in Miami, FL. Support in English & Spanish: +1 (954) 681-3894 or WhatsApp.

Description
Description
The JUKI® LU-1508NH is the extra heavy-weight member of JUKI's LU-1500N series — and the H at the end of the model code is JUKI's own designation for exactly that. Where the standard machine is built for heavy work, this one is built for the material that stops heavy machines: multi-layered leather, webbing stacks, heavy canvas, and thick synthetics sewn with bonded thread as coarse as #20.
Three things make that possible. A 38 mm needle bar stroke driving a long 190R needle gives the needle the travel and the column strength to pass through stacked material without deflecting. A 10 mm maximum stitch length — among the longest in its class — lays the heavy structural and decorative topstitching that this kind of work is judged on. And a complete rectangular feed locus moves the material in a true rectangle rather than an ellipse, which is what prevents stitch gathering when the ply count changes mid-seam.
The detail that separates it from an ordinary walking foot machine is the alternating vertical movement mechanism. On most machines, when the material gets thicker the presser foot lift effectively shrinks and the foot starts meeting the material late — that timing error is where irregular stitches come from. JUKI's mechanism holds the ratio of alternate vertical movement constant regardless of material thickness, so the walking foot contacts the work at the same moment on a thick section as on a thin one, and holds it under consistent pressure throughout.
What's Included
- JUKI® LU-1508NH single needle unison feed walking foot machine head (ships assembled)
- Servo motor with controller and foot pedal
- Heavy-duty industrial sewing table
- Industrial stand
- Presser feet set, needles, and bobbins
- Standard accessories kit
- Instruction manual
Key Features
- Built for extra heavy-weight material — this is JUKI's H specification, a distinct machine from the standard heavy-weight S version, with a longer needle, longer stroke, longer stitch, and a heavier thread range
- 10 mm maximum stitch length, forward and reverse — long enough for the heavy structural and decorative topstitching that leather goods, saddlery, and industrial work are sold on
- 38 mm needle bar stroke with long 190R needle — the travel and needle column strength required to penetrate stacked heavy material without deflection or skipped stitches
- Handles thread from #20 to #1 (B69–B207) — the heavy bonded thread that structural seams in leather, webbing and technical textile actually call for
- Alternating vertical movement that does not change with material thickness — the presser foot lift does not shrink on thick sections, so the foot meets the material at the same moment every time and holds it at consistent pressure. This is what prevents irregular stitches at ply transitions
- 2.5 – 6.5 mm alternating stroke — set to match the height of the multilayered sections being sewn
- Complete rectangular feed locus — a true rectangular feeding motion that prevents stitch gathering, with a lower feed dog orbit that reduces operating noise and vibration
- 16 mm presser foot lift by knee — enough clearance to get bulky, built-up assemblies in and out without fighting the machine
- Vertical-axis double-capacity hook — twice the bobbin thread, so long heavy seams run further between bobbin changes
- Dual-tension mechanism — supports high-tension sewing with thick thread, producing well-tensed seams from lighter material up to the heaviest the machine will take
- Safety clutch as standard — protects the hook from breakage on a thread jam, and resets with the push of a button rather than a service call
- Extra-large φ175 steel handwheel for controlled manual positioning through heavy work, with the bobbin winder and knee-lifter mechanism built on the machine head
Ideal For
- Heavy leather goods — saddlery, harness, tack, and holsters
- Webbing, slings, straps, and lifting gear
- Marine canvas, biminis, covers, and heavy awnings
- Truck tarps, industrial covers, and tension structures
- Automotive and marine upholstery with built-up multi-layer seams
- Luggage, cases, and heavy travel goods
- Filtration, safety equipment, and technical textile fabrication
- Any operation where the current walking foot machine stalls, skips, or gathers stitches on thick sections
