An industrial machine is built to sew one job all day, every day — steel construction, its own table and motor, and it keeps speed and stitch quality through heavy fabric that would stall a domestic machine. A home machine does a bit of everything, but wears out fast under real workloads. If you sew for money — upholstery, alterations, production — an industrial pays for itself. Most new industrial machines run roughly between $1,000 and $3,000 as a complete setup — head, table, stand and servo motor included. Specialty and automated machines cost more. Financing with Affirm or Synchrony can spread that into monthly payments — see Financing.

A single-needle lockstitch feeds the fabric from below — ideal for garments, alterations and general sewing. A walking foot (compound feed) machine also moves the foot and needle together with the material, so thick or slippery layers — leather, vinyl, canvas, webbing — feed evenly without shifting. For furniture, auto and marine upholstery, a flat-bed walking foot is the usual starting point. For bags, straps and thicker hides, look at cylinder-bed walking foot and extra heavy-duty machines. A walking foot machine with high presser-foot lift and capacity for V-92 or heavier thread is the standard for Sunbrella, heavy canvas and window vinyl; long-arm models add the clearance for biminis and large panels. A servo motor is quiet, energy-efficient and lets you dial the sewing speed down, so you keep full control on slow, precise work — clutch motors run loud and at full speed. Nearly every machine we sell includes a servo motor; the product page lists the exact motor for each model.

Yes. Most modern industrial machines with servo motors plug into a standard 110V household outlet and are quiet enough for a garage, studio or spare room. The machine comes with its table and stand — you mainly need the floor space (roughly 4 × 2 ft). A few high-power or automated models run on 220V; if so, it's listed on the product page, and installation should be done by a qualified electrician.

Machines listed as “Complete Setup” include the head, table, stand and motor — and everything is assembled, calibrated and test-stitched in Miami before it ships. The product page lists exactly what's included with each model; if in doubt, ask us.

Yes — freight is free with no minimum in 35 states. In 14 states (including California, Washington, Colorado and Puerto Rico) there's a flat $150 freight charge, waived on orders of $3,000 or more. Alaska and Hawaii are quoted individually — contact us before ordering. Parts, needles and thread ship by regular parcel, free over $75 in the continental US and Puerto Rico.

We ship industrial sewing machines to Puerto Rico regularly, and our team gives support in Spanish as well as English. Freight to PR is a flat $150, free on orders of $3,000 or more. You get tracking as soon as your machine leaves Miami. One note: Puerto Rico's sales and use tax (IVU) is not collected at checkout — the customer pays it in Puerto Rico.

Your machine travels crated on a pallet with a freight (LTL) carrier. Delivery is curbside, the carrier calls you to schedule a delivery window, and residential liftgate service is free — the driver lowers the pallet to the ground for you. In Florida, white-glove delivery may be available on request. One rule: inspect the crate before signing the delivery receipt.

In-stock machines take 2–5 business days to leave Miami — that's real assembly, calibration, test stitching and professional crating, not just boxing. Freight transit is typically 5–10 business days depending on your state. You'll receive tracking the moment it ships.

Every industrial machine is assembled, calibrated and test-stitched by our technicians in Miami before shipping. To protect it in transit, the head is removed from the table for freight — remounting takes just a few minutes, and we send a step-by-step video along with your tracking.

Yes — within 14 days of delivery, with an RMA number (we issue it within 2 business days). Know the real costs before you buy: non-defective returns carry a 20% restocking fee and the customer arranges and pays the return freight. That's exactly why we help you choose the right machine first — send us photos or video of your material and we'll confirm the fit. Every machine carries our store warranty: 90 days on mechanical defects and 12 months on electrical and electronic components — 18 months on Speedway. We're an authorized dealer for Speedway, JACK, Siruba, Singer, PFAFF, Dürkopp Adler, Kansai Special and Consew, and our own technicians in Miami back it up in English and Spanish.

Inspect the crate before signing the carrier's delivery receipt — note any visible damage on the receipt and report it to us within 24 hours. Concealed damage found after unpacking must be reported within 48 hours with photos; keep all the packaging. From there we handle the claim with the carrier and make it right.
