Yes — we assemble, calibrate and test-stitch it in Miami before shipping. To protect the machine during freight, the head ships detached from the table; remounting takes minutes and we can walk you through it by phone.

The SPEEDWAY® SW-335L is a single-needle cylinder-bed heavy-duty walking foot sewing machine engineered for leathercraft, upholstery, footwear, bags, and any curved or tubular work that a flatbed machine cannot reach. Its unison feed system — needle, walking foot, and feed dog moving in sync — delivers even, consistent stitches through thick, layered, and slippery materials at up to 2,800 SPM with up to 6.0 mm stitch length and 15.0 mm clearance under the foot — assembled complete with a 550W energy-saving servo motor, industrial table, stand, and wheels. The SW-335L ships configured for synchronized binding, ready to bind edges out of the box.

When it arrived the motor controller did not work, the replacement does work and works good. The thickest thread this machine can handle is kinda thin. It works good but I would prefer thicker thread. My heavy-duty singer uses this thickness of thread. This on will sew through thicker layers of leather though.

On thread: the SW-335L handles up to Tex 92, which is much heavier than most household heavy-duty machines are built for, and it's what lets it sew through thick leather layers so well. If your projects call for even heavier thread, a heavy-stitch machine designed for thicker thread would be a better fit, and we'd be happy to recommend one. At first, I had some doubts since I live in California and hadn't heard of them, but the detailed explanation and the work they showcase on social media gave me confidence, so I decided to buy from them. The machine is beautiful; it arrived fully assembled with all the separately purchased accessories included, and even came with a small test run already threaded—excellent customer service.

Appreciate the attention
First impressions: This machine was so easy to set up and get started. The delivery was fast. As a former machinist I have inspected the machine castings and moving components and am impressed with the quality and especially the value. The first test stitch was with two pieces of suede totaling about 8 oz using Tex90 thread and it didn’t even work hard and was fast and accurate.
Delivery was great, I had it sewing in a couple hours. There was a learning curve but I was really impressed after I learned how to do everything. I wish I had gotten the speed reducer but I ended up getting that from a competitor. Now that I have the SR, I can really turn out some professional looking belts and bags with plenty of power for thicker leather. I also modified my presser foot so that I can see exactly where the needle is going to stop. I love the machine, everyone that says it is barely ready for medium weight leather hasn’t sewn with the SR on it. Quality is there also. I have had this machine apart to tweak some minor stuff but right from the dealer it was way more than I expected.
My only real complaint and reason I didn't give 5 stars, is there is no manual. Nothing to tell me about tension, threading, speed, mode or anything. I have found a few videos online but nothing like the information I'd get from a manual like I have with my three other machines.
Upscaled my handbag making business! what a difference the big bobbin made, had old sw335, but this is much better feeling and quality, plus much more thread, same cylinder!
