Description

Send us your design and we turn it into a ready-to-load .VDT pattern for your JUKI programmable pattern sewer. We size it to your machine's sewing area, sew it on our own machine in Miami, and email you the .VDT file.

Made for the JUKI AMS-210, AMS-221 and AMS-224 series and other JUKI machines that load .VDT files. Shops use it for bartacks and shapes on bags, belts and straps, labels and patches, pocket and flap stitching, logos, and any stitch path that has to come out the same on every piece.

How to order

  1. Choose whether you have a vector file or only a photo or scan, and how fast you need it.
  2. Upload your design in the form above the Add to cart button, pick your machine, type the exact model and sewing area, and the finished size. That is all we need to start.
  3. Check out. If anything is unclear we email you before the clock starts.

Ordering several different patterns? Add each one to the cart with its own file. Volume pricing applies automatically in the cart.

What you get

  • Your pattern as a .VDT file, sized and placed inside your machine's sewing area
  • A continuous-sewing version on request, at no extra charge, that links seams to cut the thread fewer times
  • A test sew on our own machine before the file leaves our shop
  • One revision included

Pricing and turnaround

Custom pattern from your vector file $160, one revision included, ready in 2–3 business days
Photo or scan instead of a vector file +$25 (we redraw the seams)
Rush +$50, next business day
5 to 9 patterns $140 each
10 or more patterns $120 each

Compatible machines

  • JUKI AMS-210 series
  • JUKI AMS-221 series
  • JUKI AMS-224 series
  • Other JUKI pattern sewers that load .VDT files: tell us the exact model and sewing area

Each series comes in several sewing-area sizes, so the form asks for your exact model (for example AMS-210EN-1510) and its sewing area.

JUKI is a trademark of its owner. This service is provided by Supra Sewing; the files are made to load on the machines listed.

Files we accept

Format Note
DXF (AutoCAD, CorelDRAW, Illustrator) Preferred
SVG (Illustrator, Inkscape) Convert text to outlines
AI / PDF Vector content only, not a scanned image
PLT (HPGL plotter files)
DST (Wilcom, Tajima) Satin and triple stitches become a single seam line
VDT To resize, move the origin or re-order an existing pattern
Photo or scan Taken straight on, with a ruler beside it (+$25)

Before you upload: draw at full scale (1:1), one line per seam (no double lines, fills or shading), text converted to outlines, no dimensions or frames inside the file, closed outlines where a seam has to close, and mark any line that must NOT be sewn.

Need the pattern for another machine? We also make .SLW files for SPEEDWAY SW 800 and JACK M5 / M7 / M9 and Dahao .NSP files for JACK JK-T pattern sewers. For any other format, contact us before ordering.

Revisions and refunds

  • Revision: one change on the same design is included (scale, origin, sewing order or stitch length). A new design is a new order.
  • Refunds: this is a custom digital service. Once the file is delivered it cannot be refunded.

FAQ

What is a VDT file?
VDT is the pattern data format used by JUKI programmable pattern sewers such as the AMS series. It holds the stitch points, jumps, thread trims and stitch length of the pattern.

Can you convert a DXF to VDT?
Yes. DXF is the format we prefer. We also take SVG, AI, PDF, PLT and DST, and we can redraw from a photo or scan for $25 more.

Will the pattern fit my sewing area?
We size and place it inside the sewing area of the model you give us. If it does not fit, we contact you before going on.

Is the file tested before I get it?
Yes. Every pattern is sewn on our own machine before delivery.

Can you edit a VDT pattern I already have?
Yes. Upload the .VDT and tell us in the notes what to change: size, origin, sewing order or stitch length.

How do I load the file on my machine?
Copy the .VDT to the media your machine reads (USB drive or memory card, depending on the model) and import it from the operation panel.

Do you make other formats?
Yes: .SLW for SPEEDWAY SW 800 and JACK M-series, and Dahao .NSP for JACK JK-T pattern sewers. Contact us for anything else.
