When it arrived the motor controller did not work, the replacement does work and works good. The thickest thread this machine can handle is kinda thin. It works good but I would prefer thicker thread. My heavy-duty singer uses this thickness of thread. This on will sew through thicker layers of leather though.
At first, I had some doubts since I live in California and hadn't heard of them, but the detailed explanation and the work they showcase on social media gave me confidence, so I decided to buy from them. The machine is beautiful; it arrived fully assembled with all the separately purchased accessories included, and even came with a small test run already threaded—excellent customer service. First impressions: This machine was so easy to set up and get started. The delivery was fast. As a former machinist I have inspected the machine castings and moving components and am impressed with the quality and especially the value. The first test stitch was with two pieces of suede totaling about 8 oz using Tex90 thread and it didn’t even work hard and was fast and accurate.
Like the product, but I wish it had a owner manual
My only real complaint and reason I didn't give 5 stars, is there is no manual. Nothing to tell me about tension, threading, speed, mode or anything. I have found a few videos online but nothing like the information I'd get from a manual like I have with my three other machines.
This machine is new to me,and I'm getting used to using it in my leather work.
Upscaled my handbag making business! what a difference the big bobbin made, had old sw335, but this is much better feeling and quality, plus much more thread, same cylinder!
